This is the one time of year I really miss my family. Wouldn't be so bad if I actually had some kind of idea what my holiday plans were going to be. Or if I even knew if I have holiday plans. This is the one downside to having a girlfriend who doesn't go in for the domestic thing -- I don't usually know my plans until about five minutes before they happen.

But she makes life interesting, so I still win.

Need to find out if she wants to do the domestic thing for Thanksgiving or if she's got something to be off stealing. Because if it's going to be just me, I'm probably not going to bother with actually cooking anything.

It's probably kind of strange, but after everything that's happened, I'm finding myself really, really missing my sister. She was... my balance. The light-heartedness to my seriousness, the cheer to my seriousness, the everything to my everything else.

I know exactly what she'd tell me if she were here -- to treasure my friends and be grateful that things didn't even worse than the incredibly bad that they already did. But it's hard to think that way in the face of what happened. Because knowing what happened, what some of us did to some of the others? How can we live with ourselves?

Even though I didn't do anything to anybody, how can I live with myself?

Had one of those days where by about an hour in, you're already really damn sure you should've just stayed in bed and yanked the covers up over your head. It started out with my hot water crapping out on me, then I couldn't find my keys, then Evan showed up for work four hours late and looking like death warmed over. I promptly sent him home because yeah, hi, not getting sick, thank you.

So it was just me for a large portion of the day which of course meant that everyone and their imaginary friend just had to come in today. And of course nobody had any damn patience, so it only took that same damn first hour for me to get the urge to taser people. But since tasering your customers is not only bad form but also not conducive to making money, I had to refrain. Pity. Some of them could've used it.

What is it about malfunctioning technology that reduces otherwise perfectly normal and responsible adults to something along the level of poo-flinging monkeys? Seriously, people, I know it feels like it but the world will not end if it takes me a day to get to fixing your virus-ridden piece of shit computer.

Screw this, I'm getting drunk.
